use AI.
keep your clients’
data to yourself.
Prepare a copy of your document before sharing it with an AI chat. Anonyma helps you find personal data, review it and choose how to replace it.
Your document
The applicant Marta Verdi,
residing in Catania,
tax code VRDMRT80A41C351X,
requests that the decision be annulled.
The copy to share
The applicant PERSON_1,
residing in PLACE_1,
tax code ID_1,
requests that the decision be annulled.
Before the chat
A document can contain client and third-party data: names, addresses, identifiers, signatures and personal information. Prepare it for the request you intend to make to AI.
You remain in control of the result
Detection suggests selections. Review them, add anything missing and open the exported copy before sending it. Context and filenames may also identify someone.
From a document
to a copy.
Choose the output for your task: a redacted PDF or coded text that can be restored using its mapping.
- 01
Open
Native PDF: read its text. Scans and images: OCR, or text recognition. Available formats depend on the version.
- 02
Review
Review detected data. Add or remove selections; workflows with visual review also let you cover signatures, stamps and other areas.
- 03
Export
Create a separate copy. Choose the redaction colour where supported and inspect the exported file.
Redacted PDF
The applicant ,
residing in ,
tax code ,
requests that the decision be annulled.
Pages are rebuilt: content in covered areas is not included in the copy. Redaction is permanent; the mapping cannot restore that PDF.
Coded text
The applicant PERSON_1, residing in PLACE_1, requests that the decision be annulled.
Selected values become codes. Keep the mapping to restore originals; TXT contains text without images or layout.
From the AI response to original values
PERSON_1 → Marta VerdiPLACE_1 → CataniaRestoration uses your mapping and requires unchanged codes. Keep the mapping separate from the copy you share.

Files and folders in the terminal
Repeat the workflow on files and folders with a command. Produces separate copies and reports. Follow the guide to start and always review the results.
CLI guideOCR only
Extract text from PDFs, JPEGs and PNGs directly in your browser. Copy the text, download TXT or create a searchable PDF.
OCR makes text readable: original data remains in the output. Use the redaction workflow to remove it.

Keep your mapping safe
Mappings contain original data. Export them when needed and keep them separately. Settings, models and mappings may remain in local storage depending on the version; the browser or user can remove them.
Review the context too
Names and identifiers are only part of the review. Personal circumstances, images, signatures and filenames may identify someone. Coded text and mapping still require this review.

Open the webapp, try the workflow and inspect the copy. The guides describe requirements, settings and instructions for each version.
