A model is the component that suggests which parts of text contain personal data. Rizzo-PII is one of the resources used by Anonyma, with a focus on Italian language and legal documents.

We acknowledge the work of Rizzo-PII’s authors and their decision to make the model and code available. The repository specifies MIT licensing for the code; the model card documents the distributed resource’s terms. Applicable licences and notices remain with each distribution.
Its role in Anonyma
The published web app uses the Italian Rizzo-PII model. Anonyma provides import, selections, review, redaction, codes and mappings around detection. These functions are not all features of the model.
Automatic suggestions need review: unclear text, images, context and indirect identifiers may need corrections. Results reported in the authors’ model card do not certify an individual document processed with Anonyma.
